Fixv1.97

Accuracy, exports & reliability

Improved

  • Free calculators overhauled for accuracy — the Power Calculator now uses the correct 3-phase formula (it was under-reading line current by ~40%, which could point you at an undersized breaker), the Patch Cable Calculator's imperial lengths and cost estimates are fixed, and the bitrate, video file size, room mode, Dante, HDMI and rack cooling calculators all had their figures corrected
  • DXF exports are far more faithful — rack equipment now sits at the correct U position, patch panels and their cables are included, per-rack sizes are respected, and gear or socket labels containing line breaks no longer corrupt the file
  • Project Summary now matches the builder — rack U-numbers follow your bottom-up labelling preference in the on-screen tab, the Excel sheet and the PDF; power totals no longer count rack-mounted gear twice; and Excel exports use real numbers so SUM() works
  • Much lighter on laptops with integrated graphics — the homepage background animation now runs as a single lazy, frame-capped instance instead of three full-width WebGL scenes, which could grind Chrome and Edge to a halt on Intel iGPUs
  • The gear faceplate photo feature has been retired to keep the gear builder and community library lean — all other gear spec fields (ports, dimensions, weights) are unchanged

Fixed

  • Custom cable-number labels (like "A1" or "CAM-1A") are now preserved everywhere — on the diagram, stub tags, summary and every export — instead of being overwritten with plain numbers
  • Projects with a background image now save reliably when you switch tabs or navigate away — previously a large background could silently skip the save
  • Fixed a crash where adding a Chair or Desk from the Studio layout menu could blank the tab
  • The rack builder no longer fires redundant saves when you open a project, and a rack you've configured but not yet filled with gear now saves correctly
  • Background autosaves can no longer wipe your cables — a rare case where reopening a project could save an empty canvas over your existing cables is now blocked on web and desktop
  • Copying a gear item from the community library now carries over all of its spec fields instead of occasionally dropping some
  • Assorted account, billing and email-automation reliability fixes behind the scenes
