Minorv1.96
Cable diagram polish
New
- Wall-mounted patch panels — a new Mounting option in the Panel Designer switches a panel between 19" rack (with ears) and a free-width wall plate, reflected in the 2D designer, 3D view and every export
- DXF faceplate export for patch panels — a to-scale drilling drawing in real millimetres (holes, labels, dimensions) that AutoCAD, BricsCAD and Revit open natively
- Half-rack width gear — mark gear like the AdderLink XDIP as half-rack in the gear builder and it drops into racks at half width automatically, with two units sharing a single U row; flip the side any time in the equipment editor
- 13 rackmount UPS units added to the community gear library — APC Smart-UPS (750VA-3000VA, incl. the 1U Li-Ion), Eaton 5P/9PX and CyberPower OR/PR ranges, with real rack sizes, weights, depths and IEC ports
Improved
- Patch panels now support up to 8 rows (previously 4), with new 3U and 4U D-series presets — and rack placement now uses the panel's real U height
- Cable, rack and studio DXF exports upgraded for CAD workflows — gear exports as selectable blocks, cables as single polylines, zone borders draw dashed, labels are no longer truncated, and files declare real millimetre units
- AES3 digital audio can now be carried on standard BNC ports (AES-3id 75-ohm unbalanced) — previously only XLR, HD-BNC and DIN accepted it
- Filtered cables can now show the cable number on their stub tags — choose Both, Number or Name under Cables → Filtered Cable Tags, or in Settings → Cable Diagram
- New Stub End Pulse option (off by default) to toggle the pulsing hover indicator on filtered-cable stub ends
- The Filtered Cable Tags and Stub End Pulse options appear in both the Cables menu and Settings and stay in sync
- Print-style exports keep each gear's accent colour — PDF and PNG exports with Invert Gear on now outline every unit in its canvas highlight colour instead of flattening them all to grey
Fixed
- Hidden cables now stay hidden — saving and reopening a project no longer un-hides your filtered cables (web and desktop). Cables hidden in past sessions will now also load hidden: they show as labelled stubs, and one click in Cables → Filter by Type brings them back
- Hidden-cable stub labels now appear in the PDF export, matching what you see on the canvas
- The cable type visibility list stays in sync after reload — a hidden type shows unchecked and un-hides with a single click
- Filtered-cable stub tags no longer clip the cable number on long gear names, and the stub leadout line now connects cleanly to the label
- Closed a rare data-loss path where a slow-loading canvas could auto-save with zero cables and silently wipe your connections — background saves of that state are now blocked, and the server always keeps an automatic backup version before any save that would empty a diagram
