Built by an engineer, for engineers

Patchify is built by Callum Buckley, an AV and broadcast engineer based in London. He has spent over a decade on set and in broadcast and install work, and he uses Patchify to document his own studio builds.

Who builds Patchify?

Callum has spent over a decade designing, installing and supporting broadcast, live event and studio systems, from camera tracking on feature films and live sport to virtual production, podcast and broadcast studio builds.

Along the way he has worked as a camera technician, run a support team, led a team of product specialists, and worked on site in over 80 locations worldwide. Today he designs and installs studios, and documents each one in Patchify.

Why was it built?

“I couldn't find one tool that did everything I needed at a price that made sense, so I built it.” Patchify puts the signal flow diagram, cable schedule, racks, patch panels and handover paperwork in one project, and it is shaped by feedback from engineers in our Discord community and on Reddit.
