Minorv2.1.0
Rack Wiring
New
- Patch tab: start a rack panel from a punched panel you can buy from CPC, with its size and holes set
- Patch tab: a parts list for each panel, and its panel and connectors on the rack's bill of materials
- Patch tab: choose a CPC part for each panel connector, priced in the parts list
- Rack builder: suggested cable lengths name the CPC patch lead to order, with its price
- Rack builder: wire a rack from a table, port by port, beside the patch sheet; the cables are the Cable tab's own
- Rack builder: cables drawn on the rack, port to port at the rear: the selected gear's, or every cable with the toolbar toggle
- Rack builder: lacing bars, and a cable side for each rack or cable; drawn cables run along bars, down cable managers and between bays
- Rack builder: place each device's ports on its rear panel, by hand or with one-click layouts
- Rack builder: power cords drawn to PDU outlets, with load per outlet and per phase
- Rack builder: warnings when a cable manager or lacing bar is too full
- Rack builder: cables, lacing bars, vertical PDUs and cable managers shown in the 3D view
- Suggested lead lengths follow the cable's route in the rack
- Cable labels export as CSV, one or two labels per cable, ready for Brady and other label printers
- Project report: a rear wiring page for each rack, with every cable numbered
- US customers see Newark parts and prices in dollars
Improved
- Cable, Patch and Floor Plan menus are plain text, matching the Rack tab
- Patch and Floor Plan tabs: menus and view controls share one line, as on the Rack tab
- Gear added to the cable diagram from a rack lands in one column under the rack's name, top of the rack first
Fixed
- Floor plan: cable route points line up with the rack, device or point they run from, so sections come out straight; hold Shift to keep one square
- Cables from network ports without a two-way flag no longer drop out of racks, reports and length suggestions
- New cables number on from cable numbers stored as text, and the rack patch sheet no longer reuses numbers from elsewhere on the diagram
- Wiring table: moving a cable to another port keeps its number, label and length, and patch panel sockets only offer their own signal
