Minorv2.0.3
Cable Routes
New
- Rack builder: select an item to see where its cables end up, followed through patch panels, outlined in the rack and listed in Details
- Rack builder: patch a rack's gear beside the elevation with the patch sheet button in the toolbar
- Rack builder: suggested lead lengths for one item or the whole rack, saved only when you accept them; between racks they follow the cable routes on the floor plan
- Settings: cable tails at equipment and patch panels, clearance above or below racks, and the lengths you stock
- Floor plan: draw cable routes point to point, set each one's height (floor, ceiling, under the floor), and see which cables run in it
- Floor plan: a list of devices still to place; pick one and click where it goes, then the next
- Floor plan: elements are placed by clicking where they go, with mounting height presets (floor, desk, wall, ceiling) so cables climb to them
- Floor plan: a measure tool, lengths accepted per route, and an Install view that hides the studio dressing
- Floor plan: drop points, and any element can stand for a device on the cable diagram, so cable lengths use where things really are
- Floor plan: PDF drawings come in at true size when you give the plot scale (1:100, 1/4 inch to the foot...); pick the page of a multi-page PDF; DXF comes in at true size; or set the scale by clicking two points
- Floor plan: levels, with risers that carry cables between floors, and named room areas
- Floor plan: box select, move several elements together, and handles to resize and rotate
- Floor plan: wheel zoom, pan with Space or the middle button, fit to view, and touch with pinch zoom on tablets
- Project report and DXF: cable routes drawn on the floor plan, with a table of height, length and cables per route
- Floor plan: give a route its containment (tray, trunking or conduit, and size) and see how full it is; over-full sections turn red
- Project report: a cable pull schedule listing every cable in each route, with its ends and length
- Floor plan and report: tray, trunking and conduit are each drawn their own way; the report drawing shows your imported drawing, named devices with mounting heights, a legend and a scale bar
- Floor plan: imported drawings can show as light lines on the dark floor
- Floor plan: racks follow the Rack Builder (name, width, depth, height) and show their gear in 3D
Improved
- Rack items follow their device on the cable diagram: name, gear number, height, depth, weight and power, unless edited in the rack
- Imported floor plan drawings are stored beside the project, so projects with drawings save and load faster
- Floor plan: cable routing tools have their own group in the element list, and heights and lengths follow your metric or imperial setting
- The Studio tab and the report's Studio Layout section are now called Floor Plan
- Drawing export: the title block shows the client name from the project notes
Fixed
- Floor plan: Delete no longer removes an element you had deselected, or the imported drawing instead of the selected element
- Floor plan: a drag is one undo step, undo and redo are saved, and Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes
- Floor plan: rotated elements can be dragged right up to the walls
- Floor plan: two studio templates no longer place items outside the room
- Floor plan: imperial sizes no longer show 12 inches, and clearing the feet box no longer shrinks the room
- Drawing export: the title block date follows your UK or US date setting
