Minorv1.92
New signals & connectors, cleaner patch-panel exports
New
- New Speakon NL2 connector — for amp outputs and other 2-pole speaker connections. Carries analog and speaker-level audio, and appears as a quick-add option when building gear.
- New wireless signal types on the Wireless connector — WiFi, Casambi, Z-Wave and Zigbee
- New lighting & building-control protocols on RJ45/etherCON — KNXnet, ETCNet2, ETCNet3, MA-Net2, MA-Net3, KiNET V1 and KiNET V2
- New Cables → Sync Cables to Ports — re-derives every cable's signal, colour and connectors from the gear ports it connects, tidying up anything that drifted after you edited the gear
- Each new signal has its own colour you can customise in Settings → Cable Diagram, and appears as a quick-add option when building gear
- A small warning marker now appears on a cable when you connect a balanced port to an unbalanced one — hover it for the reason, click to dismiss (it stays dismissed)
- Shared links now include the full Project Summary, read-only — at-a-glance cards for Equipment, Connections, Looms, Racks, Network and Power, each expandable to the same detailed tables you see in the editor
- RS-232 is now available on RJ45 — pick it as a quick-add option when building gear, and RS-232-over-RJ45 ports connect without a false incompatibility (common on AV control gear like projectors and Extron/Crestron control ports)
- Patch-panel ports now light up the compatible gear ports when you start dragging a cable from them (like gear already did), so connecting a patch panel to a device is no longer guesswork
New
- Route mode now draws straight 90° legs by default — hold Shift for a free/diagonal leg
- Route mode: dropping a cable on a single-direction port offers to make that port bidirectional and connect, instead of silently failing
- Project Summary → Connections is now an editable grid — click a Label, Length or Notes cell and type; Enter moves down, Tab moves across (Excel-style), with undo and autosave
Improved
- Removed the redundant CSV patch-panel export — the Excel wiring schedule covers the same data
- Renumber Cables is simpler — one clear method that numbers cables left-to-right following signal flow, plus a Clear option; clearing now also turns numbering off so the canvas matches
- Change a port's signal or connector on a device and you're now asked whether to update the cables already connected to it (recolour and re-type to match)
Fixed
- Feed-through (D-type) sockets now show the correct mating gender on the back of the wiring schedule and build sheet — XLR and speakON panels show the inverse gender front-to-back, while barrel couplers (BNC, RJ45, USB, fibre) stay symmetric
- Connectors whose name already states M/F (e.g. "D-Sub 9 M/F") no longer get a redundant gender label tacked on
- Balanced, unbalanced and analog audio ports now connect to each other — no more false "incompatible" blocks when an XLR balanced port meets a port tagged as analog audio
- Cable numbers now sit in the same spot on every cable — already-placed and newly-drawn cables no longer disagree about where the number goes
- Fanned cables no longer route behind a device — a cable feeding something back toward its own source now takes a clean stubbed path instead of being pulled into the fan
- Speakon NL2 ports now default to speaker level, so an NL2 output plugs straight into an NL2 input without a false incompatibility
- Auto-fanned cables now keep their vertical runs out of devices — trunks slide into a clear gap instead of drawing across/behind the gear
- Cable labels sit on the cable the moment you edit them, instead of popping off until you nudged them
- Small devices no longer clip their name when given an IP address — the gear box grows to fit the IP, subnet and notes instead of cutting off the title
- Bidirectional ports no longer end up with two cables — dropping or dragging a cable onto a port that already has one now replaces the old cable, even on bidirectional ports
- Project Summary and exports now show the correct port on each end of a cable — a device whose inputs and outputs are numbered the same (e.g. a router's IN 1 and OUT 1) no longer mislabels an output as an input
- Cable looms in the Project Summary now show real port names instead of internal IDs
- Excel/PDF export now matches what's on screen — the Equipment list includes LED walls and patch panels, removed cables no longer appear as phantom rows, and connector columns fill in from the port when not set on the cable
- Project Summary tab counts are accurate — Network counts each IP interface (not just each device), and Equipment includes LED walls and patch panels
- Power tab 'Total Power' now reflects the whole plan (canvas devices plus rack equipment) to match the Circuit Load above it, and 'Circuits needed' uses your chosen breaker and voltage instead of a fixed 20A/230V
