Minorv1.70

Click-to-Route Cable Drawing, Cable Lengths, Network & Power Planning

New

  • Click-to-route cable drawing — press R (or toggle it on) to draw a cable by clicking the source port, clicking to drop bend points around obstacles, then clicking the destination. A live ghost shows exactly where the cable will run, and right-click or Backspace removes the last bend
  • Cable length popover — set or clear a length on several selected cables at once, with a "Mixed" guard so you don't accidentally overwrite cables that have different lengths
  • Version history across every builder — restore earlier versions of the cable diagram, rack, patch panel and studio layout, with the edit source shown so you know where a change came from
  • Per-port IP addressing — document an IP address, subnet mask and gateway on each network port of a device, so multi-interface gear (Dante primary/secondary, lighting consoles, switches) is captured fully, not just a single device IP. Each interface's IP shows on the node, with a "+ Add interface" picker to keep high-port gear like switches tidy
  • Duplicate IP detection — the Network tab flags devices sharing an IP in amber with a conflict badge, and the canvas warns you in real time as you type an IP (naming the conflicting unit), so clashes are caught before site day
  • Power circuit planning — give each device a power draw and a circuit (on the canvas via right-click, or on rack equipment via its properties), then see per-circuit load with progress bars and overload warnings in the Power tab's new Circuit Load section. Set your region's mains voltage in Settings (UK/EU 230V, North America 120V, Japan 100V, Asia 220V) so capacity matches your supply
  • Patch panel Build Sheet PDF — the panel face (with cutting guides for labelling) plus a wiring schedule listing every socket position with a tick column, ready for the rack room
  • Network Configuration on job sheets — job sheet PDFs now list every device's interfaces (IP address, subnet mask, gateway and VLAN)
  • Flip Ports in the multi-select toolbar — flip the input/output sides of several pieces of gear at once

Improved

  • Connections list and all exports now show readable port labels (e.g. "SDI Out") instead of raw handle ids
  • The route ghost no longer paints over the port label you're drawing from, and its colour now matches the cable it will create
  • Desktop app support — version history, job sheets, plan locking and team/referrals now work from the Patchify desktop app, with reliable web/desktop sync (optimistic concurrency) so two open sessions don't clobber each other's edits
  • The Network tab and CSV/Excel export now list one row per interface, with Interface, Subnet Mask and Gateway columns — and Find (search) and the plan export include per-port IPs, not just a device's primary IP
  • Large and dense cable diagrams are noticeably smoother — dragging gear around on big boards stays responsive, with less lag when hovering, selecting cables, and zooming
  • Patch Panel: flip-ports option and smoother editing (geometry caching)

Fixed

  • Reconnecting a cable (dragging its end to a new port) now keeps its bend points and can no longer collide with another cable's id — which could previously make a cable vanish
  • Route mode no longer hijacks Escape (so modals still close) or single-key shortcuts while you're mid-draw, and won't let you drop a cable onto an incompatible port
  • Cables re-route correctly when you move an existing bend point, not just when you add or remove one
  • A cable length of 0 is treated as unset consistently in the connections table
  • Subscription access is now enforced server-side, and members of a cancelled team subscription correctly lose access
  • More reliable saving and loading under load (hardened database connection with retry and pooling)
  • Ghost cables (connections whose ports were removed or renumbered, and which no longer appear in the wiring diagram) are now excluded everywhere — the patch list export, the in-app connections list, the cable legend count, and the Project Summary Connections badge all match the diagram
  • Restored the full connector & signal library in the gear editor — RF Antenna over BNC, Component, S-Video, ASI, Tri-Level/Black Burst sync and dozens of connectors are available again
  • Patch panel socket labels no longer get cut off or duplicated — long labels like "SDI 14" and "SDI 15" now shrink to fit and stay distinct instead of both showing as "SDI 1"
  • Patch panel exports (PDF, CSV and Excel) no longer fill empty sockets with default values — blank holes now export as blank
  • The 3-pin XLR male connector now shows the correct pin orientation (1 pin bottom, 2 on top)
  • Cable connection fixes in the diagram editor
